Business Development Specialist
General Description
CFN Kimya is one of the leading EPS (Expandable Polystyrene) producers in the region, with its production facility located in Dilovası. We are looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized Business Development Specialist to join our team.
This role will primarily be responsible for managing business development operations, including customer operational processes, order management activities, export documentation, and coordination between customers and internal departments. The position requires strong follow-up skills, operational discipline, and the ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate should be capable of maintaining accurate operational workflows, ensuring smooth communication between stakeholders, and supporting business development operations with a solution-oriented mindset.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields,
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business development operations, sales operations, export operations, customer service, or order management functions,
- Preferably experienced in chemical, petrochemical, plastics, packaging, or manufacturing industries,
- Strong knowledge of market research, competitive analysis, and customer development processes,
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills,
- Strong analytical thinking and reporting capabilities,
- Proficient in MS Office applications,
- Experience working with ERP and/or CRM systems,
- Good command of English,
- No travel restrictions,
- Military service completed for male candidates.
- Resident or may reside in Istanbul (Anatolia) or Kocaeli.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Order Operations
- Follow up customer account opening processes for new customers and ensure all required documentation is properly completed,
- Create customer account change forms in the system based on customer requests and verify all related documentation,
- Ensure the accuracy and control of newly created orders after price agreements with customers and submit them for Business Development Manager approval,
- Perform final checks on approved orders before sharing them with customers and follow up the communication process,
- Manage revisions related to quantity, amount, and payment terms on orders and submit changes for Business Development Manager approval,
- Control return orders created in the system and ensure process accuracy,
- Follow up open orders and upcoming payments on a weekly basis and report to the Business Development Manager,
- Present customer sample requests to the Business Development Manager and follow up related processes,
Export & Logistics Coordination
- Prepare export documentation for delivered orders and share documents with related parties such as customs brokers, shipping agencies, and logistics providers, or verify the accuracy of externally prepared documents,
- Coordinate with the logistics department regarding completed orders and collection processes for shipment organization,
- Follow up loading operations and provide shipment updates to customers,
- Manage vessel booking and reservation processes with shipping agencies for overseas shipments and inform customers accordingly,
- Ensure smooth coordination between customers, logistics providers, and internal departments throughout shipment processes,
- Participate in relevant fairs, exhibitions, and industry events when required.
Reporting & Operational Support
- Follow up open orders, pending shipments, and upcoming customer payments on a weekly basis and report to the Business Development Manager,
- Prepare regular operational reports related to customer orders and business processes,
- Support process accuracy by ensuring all operational records and system entries are properly maintained,
- Contribute to operational efficiency and process improvement initiatives,
- Support digital transformation and ERP-based operational processes within the department,
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with related internal departments to ensure smooth workflow management.
