With its strong global sourcing network, product development capabilities, and retail-focused commercial approach, our company continues to grow and is seeking aCommercial Import & Procurement Manager to strategically lead our import and procurement functions.

Position Overview

This role is responsible for the commercial management of the company’s entire imported product portfolio, the development of global sourcing strategies, the improvement of category-based profitability, and the management of product development processes for national and discount retail customers. The position will lead the procurement and import teams and directly contribute to the company’s growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of all imported product groups within the kitchenware, home & living, and outdoor categories,
• Strategically manage and develop the Far East supplier network, primarily in China, while identifying new manufacturers and product sources,
• Prepare the annual procurement budget and manage cost optimization and profitability targets,
• Manage product development, sampling, quality, packaging, and delivery processes for national and discount retail chain projects,
• Conduct high-level commercial negotiations with suppliers and optimize pricing, payment terms, production capacity, quality standards, and delivery performance,
• Manage foreign trade, import, customs, logistics, and planning processes in an integrated manner,
• Monitor market trends, consumer behavior, and international trade fairs to identify new product and category opportunities,
• Lead procurement, import, and category teams, including organizational development, performance management, and talent acquisition processes,
• Provide senior management with regular reports on commercial performance, inventory, costs, and supply risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, International Trade, Industrial Engineering, International Business, or related disciplines),
• A minimum of 12 years of experience in import procurement, global sourcing, and supply chain management, including at least 5 years in a managerial position,
• Strong industry experience, preferably in kitchenware, home & living, outdoor, or non-FMCG retail product categories,
• Extensive experience working with manufacturers and suppliers in China and the Far East and advanced expertise in international supply chain management,
• Knowledge of national retail chains and private label business models,
• Strong understanding of foreign trade, import regulations, customs, quality, and logistics processes,
• Fluent in English (written and spoken), preferably capable of independently conducting international supplier meetings and negotiations,
• Strong commercial vision, strategic thinking, negotiation, and leadership skills,
• Proficient in ERP systems and advanced reporting tools,
• No restrictions on domestic or international travel,
• Based in Izmir or willing to relocate.
