Accounting Specialist

Energo-Pro Turkey was established in Ankara in 2010 and its current investments in our country are 1.33 billion USD. Energo-Pro produces 1.7 TWh of energy with 8 hydroelectric power plants with an installed capacity of 475 MW in Turkey.

We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Accounting Specialist to join our team at Energo-Pro Türkiye.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Public Finance, Accounting, or a related field,
• Has started the SMMM (Turkish CPA) traineeship or holds the SMMM license/certificate,
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting; preferably having worked at a Big4 or similar advisory firm (especially in Tax & Outsourcing),
• Strong command of current tax legislation and practices, closely following regulatory changes,
• Competent in the preparation and review of monthly and annual tax declarations,
• Knowledgeable in corporate tax exemptions and deductions as well as domestic minimum corporate tax applications,
• Experienced in month-end and period-end closing processes,
• Experienced with advanced ERP systems; having taken part in ERP migration/transformation projects is considered an advantage,
• Familiar with e-Transformation applications (e-Invoice, e-Archive, e-Ledger),
• Advanced in MS Office applications, particularly Excel,
• English at minimum B1 level, given the multinational group structure,
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and reporting discipline; a team player, able to take responsibility and open to process improvement.

Job Description

• Accurate and timely execution of daily accounting entries and invoicing transactions,
• Preparation, review, and timely filing of tax returns,
• Execution of month-end and period-end closing processes (including monthly valuation and depreciation entries),
• Accounting of bank loans and interest accruals on current/intercompany accounts; monitoring of interest, commission, and FX difference entries,
• Tracking the payment terms of the assigned companies,
• Monitoring and reconciliation of intercompany transactions,
• Preparation of financial statements and contribution to periodic reporting processes,
• Active participation in the ERP migration process; transferring and testing existing accounting processes in the new system,
• Providing timely responses to independent audit, tax audit, and advisory firms,
• Accurate and timely reflection of regulatory changes into accounting processes.
