QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Civil/Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or Diploma, OSHA 30-hour, or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) credentials (mandatory).
• 5 to 10+ years of progressively responsible health and safety experience, specifically tailored to active heavy civil, commercial, or oil and gas construction sites.
• Strong proficiency in root-cause analysis, OSHA/ISO compliance, and hazard mitigation.
• Excellent cross-team communication skills, leadership ability, and a proactive approach to risk management.

• Ensure all active job sites strictly meet local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, local labor laws).
• Conduct routine Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA) and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) before commencing new construction activities.
• Develop and maintain site-specific emergency response and contingency plans.

• Execute daily site safety walks and formal safety audits to evaluate scaffolding, trenching, crane operations, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Lead accident/incident investigations, write comprehensive root-cause analysis reports, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Plan and lead job site safety orientations, daily toolbox talks, and specialized training (e.g., fall protection, confined space entry) for both internal staff and subcontractors.
