Material Planner is expected to control and manage material availability in synchronization with the Production Planning daily practices with minimal supervision. Plans, tracks and manages flow of materials starting from the receipt of demand until the delivery is completed. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Performing and maintaining all daily actives related to MRP, backlog maintenance, while focusing on on-time delivery
• Ensuring purchase orders are delivered to suppliers and timings are matching with production plans.
• With sense of urgency, responding quickly to line shortages, as they occur to keep the production continuity.
• Representing the materials group on interdisciplinary initiatives and projects
• Actively reviewing the status of order to ensure capacity to demand levels.
• Responsible Provides in routine status and delivery information
• Managing the production plans at supplier side to meet lead time requirements. Actively identifies and removes obstacles that risk overall schedule adherence.
• Defining inventory levels for specific categories-materials and align internally and with suppliers
• Monitoring actively the flow of material from the supply base to inventory location, and adjust planning parameters as required
• Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production, and implements ideas to improve product flow and/or reduce overall costs
• Monitoring production volumes, demands and purchasing trends
• Reviewing performance of the suppliers and coordinate necessary actions for underperforming suppliers. 
• Managing the supplier pool and taking necessary actions needed to for growing the supplier base as per the business need

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency in the practical application of SAP MRP, scheduling, order policies, capacity planning, shop floor control, and product families
• Knowledgeable in master scheduling, planning and demand management
• Must be able to trouble shoot and resolve complex material’s issues within the company
• Excellent oral and good written communication skills. Must be a team player and have sound judgment and analytical abilities.
• Must have strong attention to detail, and ability to prioritize activities
• High motivation and energy levels.
• Able to present complex planning issues using Excel.
•  BS Degree is require
• Minimum 2 years of planning responsibilities
• APICS is preferred.
