Contract Specialist

Freebird Airlines is looking for a Contract Specialist who will work at the Headquarters of Freebird Airlines in Çobançeşme İstanbul.

Responsibilities

• Assisting procurement processes of ground handling /catering/hotel/fuel and other subcontracting services,
• Drafting, evaluating, negotiating, and executing various contracts covering a range of transactions for national and international projects following the strategic targets of the company
• Preparing and inputting all costs, including all airport-related charges, Ground Handling charges, Terminal fees, Civil Aviation related fees, Catering, Fuel, Ground Transportation, Hotel, and other additional services as and when necessary,
• Assisting superiors during the fuel tender process for price analysis, inputs into the airline system,
• Following the refueling orders on ad-hoc flights,
• Corresponding with and visiting the suppliers/vendors under the supervision of CM as/when necessary identify the alternative supplier firms and update the potential supplier lists
• Reviewing, updating, and auditing existing contracts managing the changes of the agreements, analyzing and reporting the risks,
• Ensuring appropriate documentation for all procurement transactionsReviewing and taking notes of agreements to assist the negotiation process with the supplier/vendors,
• Preparing, revising, and distributing reference documents,
• Requesting corrective/preventive actions from handling/catering/hotel/fuel companies as necessary,
• Complying with the Ethical Standards and Principles of the company Representing the company's best interest in all procurement processes by preparing the purchase orders and contracts by considering the commercial, financial, legal, insurance, and tax-related clauses,
• Communicating with the technical, legal affairs, finance & tax departments and coordinating these departments for contractual issues,
• Preparing yearly/monthly analyses and reports on DOCs sharing with Superior and Executive Management.

Qualifications:

• University Degree in Economy, Business Administration, or related faculties Aviation experience preferred,
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal,
• Very good command of MS Office applications,
• Being procedures and airport regulations oriented,
• Having representation skills,
• Having good organizing, coordinating, and follow-up skills,
• Good team player and good coordination skills for different disciplines,
• Good communication and negotiation skills,
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
• Having knowledge and a solid understanding of legal terminology,
• Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and teamwork skills,
• Critical thinking skills and the ability to research and understand legal and financial implications,
• No restrictions for traveling.
