Ghafari Associates is looking for ICT + SECURITY DESIGN ENGINEER to join our ISTANBUL, TURKEY office. Candidates will work a HYBRID schedule, with at least 3 days in the Istanbul Office.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

With direct supervision from Director, ICT + Security Group or senior staff, provide design for Telecommunications, LAN, WLAN, CCTV, access control, and fire alarm for new construction and/or renovation of industrial or commercial structures in conformance to client requirements and applicable codes.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Possess / demonstrate the engineering knowledge and understanding to design or analyze data, telecommunication, security, and fire alarm systems for the design and installation, of data, telecommunications, security, and fire alarm systems/networks using applicable BICSI, ANSI/TIA/EIA guidelines and NFPA -72.
• Prepare working drawings for construction on CAD system. Provide CAD support to more senior staff.
• Communicate and work with all other disciplines to produce coordinated construction documents.
• Conduct field measuring and checking at project site.
• Maintain organized project file containing project calculations, correspondence, appropriate reference materials, etc.
• With assistance, edit project specifications.
• Review project submittals (shop drawings) for conformance with contract documents; specify action required for conformance.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred or related field, Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE:

• 2-3 years related experience in data, telecommunication, fire alarm and security engineering field.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

• Microsoft Office, emphasis on Excel and MSWord, Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and BIM360
