Ghafari Associates is looking for STRUCTURAL BIM DRAFTER with Reinforced Concrete Experience to join our ISTANBUL, TURKEY office. Candidates will work a HYBRID schedule, with at least 3 days in the Istanbul Office.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Structural BIM Drafter, with overall direction from the Manager of Structural Engineering and/or project engineer, will apply Tekla Structures (Reinforced Concrete), AutoCAD and Revit Structure skills and knowledge in drafting engineering design documents and will provide general Tekla Structures and CAD/Revit technical support in the discipline of structural engineering.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Create engineering documents utilizing both Tekla Structures and Autodesk software (AutoCAD and Revit Structure) in 2D and 3D applications
• Work closely with architects and engineers during the design phase of a project to understand the scope of the project information to determine Tekla Structure and CAD needs and guidelines for the project. After needs are determined, provide assistance to setup CAD model files and quality control measures when relating to client standards.
• Make corrections and produce final documents for engineers’ review. Check for integration of sections and coordination of disciplines. Work with architects and engineers to resolve document coordination and production problems.
• Perform related duties as assigned.  

EDUCATION:

• Associate’s degree in Engineering or Construction Technology  

EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years related experience in the structural engineering field  

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

• Tekla Structures is must
• AutoCAD and Revit Structure is preferable
