QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES;

  1. He/She ensures the implementation of IS policy defined by the IS dept.
  2. He/She performs the operational maintenance, reliability and security checks of IT systems for the assigned area of responsibility,
  3. He also contributes to the development of the group’s IS systems by driving new projects or developing an expert in a given recurring area,
  4. Manages the IS equipment of the plant or the design office under responsibility,
  5. Installs the hardware and software and set up computer equipment for all the users under responsibility,
  6. Establishes and monitors the update of on-plant hardware and software inventory,
  7. Analyzes IS failures and contributes with corrective actions,
  8. Performs first-level maintenance on computer equipment and coordinates supplier maintenance activities for sub-contracted equipment,
  9. Provides guidance and assistances to users on central applications, office software or Design office tools, depending on assigned area of responsibility,
  10. Formalizes and communicates on user needs through training and information transfer,
  11. Contributes pro-actively in IT budget development relevant to the plant or the design office under responsibility, in compliance with the group’s IS strategy,
  12. May have to contribute in writing user procedures but also directives and technical procedures defined by the IS Director and ensure their effective implementation,
  13. Puts into practice the IS operating procedures,
  14. Implements, updates and reports on IS performance indicators, different logbooks and progress reports required by the IS management,
  15. Implements the group’s IS guidelines while ensuring as appropriate their relevance to local regulations, mainly for certain legal procedures,

 

QUALIFICATIONS;

  1. Bachelor's degree of IS, Computer Sciences, Industrial Engineering or related fields, min 2-4 years related experience, preferably in industrial settings,
  2. Excellent organizational, planning and prioritizing skills,
  3. Proficiency in the standard office software tools used in company and command of the plant’s specific applications,
  4. Good communication skills, adaptability within a global group framework,
  5. Technical knowledge in conformity to the group’s current standard is required for the installation of new IT equipment and software, for the administration of the local IT network and the telephone system.
