QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
We are searching for an Operation Manager for our MENA operations.
He/She will report to the functional and disciplinary managers.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Undergraduate degree or special additional subject-specific qualifications as well as at least 5 years of extensive professional experience as Operations Manager in small/medium size company focused in assembling processes
- Strong consulting expertise in Production/Operations environment to provide expert professional guidance and direction to employees
- Strategic, integrative and entrepreneurial thinking and acting
- Expertise in technical and PEP (Production Engineering & Planning) knowledge as well as lean production methods
- Ability to manage relationships, conflicts, problem solving also across different hierarchy levels
- Fluency in the English language is a prerequisite
- Good skills in MS Office and SAP; the candidate will cover an active role in the coming SAP roll out
JOB PURPOSE
- Direct and manage the overall operations of the plant
- Identify and implement lean manufactruing and continuous improvement activities in the plant
- Track and define action plans with reference to the main KPI's: Production Overhead, Direct Labor Productivity, Operating Expense, customer CDP and supplier OTD
- Functional and disciplinary management of employees and develop responsibility, discipline and culture of teamwork and continuous improvement
- Ensure the developing of an efficient Operations organization; support the roll out of SAP in the medium term
- Ensure consistency of production programs, material planning and allocation of available resources in order to meet the client’s satisfaction
- Ensure observance to deadlines, cost targets, quality targets as well as material consumptions
- Ensure compliance with resources, labor legislation as well as health and safety regulations.
