Main purpose of the job 

• To assure a controlled manufacturing process by applying the appropriate quality and statistical tools with focus on “First Time Right”.
• To drive the SPC process.
• To assure the product and process quality.
• To drive the problem solving process with focus on root cause analysis.

Key areas of responsibilities and accountability:

• To monitor the product & process quality.
• To analyze data, define improvement actions and monitor the effectiveness of the implemented actions.
• To participate in the FMEA sessions.
• To establish and maintain control plans based on output of process FMEA.
• To control and maintain quality records.
• To establish and maintain process related procedures and work instructions.
• To perform product, process and Layered Process audits.
• To perform the supplier’s audits to get them approved or re-approved.
• To track and manage supplier selection and readiness on major projects through the APQP implementation.
• To ensure program status reporting is accurate and on-time for suppliers.
• To assist and manage suppliers to achieve the quality objectives.
• To Implement and follow-up the 8D process to fix and prevent quality issues impacting the plants.
• To support and manage containment activities for applicable suppliers (Quality walls)
• To conduct quality audits, layered process audits, including identification and correction of quality audit issues
• To support management and engineering in the development of process improvement initiatives and quality problem solving.
• To prepare and report internal supplier quality reports and assist with resolution of supplier issues.
• To perform risk assessments to define the potential risk in the supply chain for key products.
• To prepare the monthly reporting of the Suppliers Quality performance with main KPIs; PPAP status, APQP readiness, Suppliers PPM, Number of supplier incidents
• To assist with preparation and coordination of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 audits.
• To cooperate with sourcing to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective actions are implemented.
• Ensures quality system requirements and applicable customer specific requirements are understood and clearly communicated to suppliers at all levels.

Skills & Experience

•  Equivalent to a Master’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Management and related technical or scientific field.
•  Excellent computer skills including Excel, Windows, Word, Offic
•  Excellent knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements.
•  Working knowledge of all AIAG and VDA standards.
•  Fluent in English. 
• A minimum of 5 years work experience in Quality Assurance in the automotive field.
