Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced “Purchasing Manager” to our leading company operating in the energy sector and located in Ankara; to oversee and manage the purchasing process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, cost optimization, and vendor relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the purchasing function, including sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of materials, equipment, and services required for our projects.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize costs, improve quality, and maintain on-time delivery of critical materials.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and vendors to ensure high standards of service and performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams including project managers, engineers, and finance to understand project requirements and budget constraints.
• Monitor market trends, industry conditions, and regulatory requirements to anticipate changes and ensure timely purchasing of materials and services.
• Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities, contracts, and supplier performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and applicable laws throughout the purchasing process.
• Manage a team of purchasing professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to drive efficiencies within the purchasing function.

Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPM, CPSM) is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of Manager experience within 10 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, especially in the energy or related industries.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Strong understanding of energy sector operations, including purchasing of materials for renewable energy, oil and gas, or power generation projects.
• Proven track record of successful vendor negotiations, cost savings initiatives, and supplier management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with purchasing software and systems is preferred.
