TECHNICAL PURCHASING & PROJECTS MANAGER

Modular Furniture

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Forest Industry, Wood Products, Industrial, Mechanical, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant professional experience in manufacturing, preferably within furniture, wood-based panels, or related industries.

• Good knowledge of wood-based materials and modular furniture components such as particleboard, MDF/HDF, decorative surfaces, laminates, edge materials, hardware, and packaging.

• Experience in technical purchasing, supplier management, and/or industrial project management.

• Ability to understand technical specifications, material requirements, and manufacturing processes.

• Experience in supplier research, selection, quotation analysis, and commercial negotiations.

• Good understanding of cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance principles.

• Familiarity with supplier quality, material qualification, and continuous improvement processes.

• Strong planning, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering and Supply Chain functions.

• Good command of written and spoken English.

• Proficiency in MS Office and preferably ERP systems.

• No restrictions on domestic and international travel.

• Active driving license.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Manage technical purchasing activities for modular furniture raw materials, components and selected technical requirements.

• Develop and maintain a competitive domestic and international supplier base.

• Conduct market research, supplier comparisons, price and cost analyses and support commercial negotiations.

• Work closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams in the selection and qualification of materials, components, and suppliers.

• Coordinate technical trials and implementation of new materials, alternative suppliers and process improvement projects.

• Support industrial and investment projects, including technical supplier and equipment evaluations.

• Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery and technical capability and coordinate necessary improvement actions.

• Follow developments in wood-based materials, furniture components, manufacturing technologies and market conditions.

• Support supplier quality and continuous improvement activities together with the Quality team.

• Manage assigned projects through clear timelines, responsibilities, and follow-up.

• Monitor and report relevant purchasing, supplier, and project KPIs.
