Quality Management System Responsible

 Dependent on: Chief Quality Superintendent                                                                            

Job Description:

Establishing a quality management system that includes planning, goal setting and continuous improvement to ensure that the company is more efficient, productive, environmentally friendly, safe and qualified, working with the Chief Quality Superintendent in creating quality, safety and environmental culture and awareness among employees and ensuring its continuity.

Competence:

• Having graduated preferably from engineering and/or maritime faculties of universities.
• Having worked for at least 1 year as a seaman or in a maritime company.
• Being aware of the company's quality and safety management system and processes, to contribute to its development (Providing document change and management of change proposals, contributing to Master reviews, etc.)
• (One year of experience is observed on the company's quality and safety management system and processes)
• Having knowledge about quality standards and quality management.
• Being acquainted TMSA and OCIMF proposals, ISM and ISO requirements, relevant ILO requirements, MLC requirements, Oil companies’ and customers’ demands, rules and expectations
• Having knowledge and experience on all ship and office inspection procedures, especially TMSA (OCIMF) and ISO Standards audits.

• Having quality culture and consciousness.
• Knowing very good English (minimum advanced level).
• Thinking analytically and systematically.
• Being able to build successful human relationships.
• Following, learning and applying all aspects related to quality standards (ISM, ISO etc.), customers’ and related parties’ requirements (TMSA, VIQ, etc.) and legal requirements (MLC, ILO, Flag State legislation, Class rules, etc.), laws, rules, regulations).
• Having leadership qualities; being able to do team work and to lead the team if necessary.
• Being self-disciplined and purposeful.
• Being meticulous, careful, well-organized and perfectionist. To be very good at keeping records.

• Using the writing language well (both in Turkish and English).
• Good use of the computer (Microsoft applications, AMOS and other ERPs, etc.).
• Not having an obstacle for being employed in the Company's İstanbul Office and residing in İstanbul,
• Not having an obstacle for travelling.
• Having completed military service, if any.

Responsibilities, Duties and Authorizations:

• Apart from those listed below;
• Being an example and pioneer for the fulfilment and implementation of all kinds of necessities in QSMS, contributing to motivation and working in cooperation with other department managers for this purpose.
• If there is any, performing duties within the office in accordance with the "Law on Occupational Health and Safety".
• Having knowledge about the general principles of the company's quality and safety management system (QSMS). Actively contributing to implement the procedures and processes defined in QSMS and at the same time to develop and update processes and forms that are relevant to the Department. 
• Collecting the necessary data to follow-up the KPIs under the responsibility of the Department and ensuring that they are corrected/completed, where necessary.

• Complying with the “Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698” and other rules and regulations concerning the personal data protection in order to ensure the execution and regulation of company operations, to comply with and supervise the legislation and to maintain corporate and administrative management as employee’s/data processors.

Documentation

• Ensuring that the QSMS Quality system is documented. Ensuring that QSMS documentation and uncontrolled digital copies for use in digital format are present, up to date and available at all Company locations.
• Maintaining and preserving this original copy to ensure that the documentation is controlled, preventing changes without authorization.
• Managing the process of document exchange. Distributing changed documents as required to the appropriate location.
• Ensuring that the documentation meets all standards, rules and requirements (ISM, ISO, MLC, MARSOL, SOLAS, STCW, ISPS, EU MRV, OCIMF VIQ, OCIMF TMSA, etc.) that must be complied with within the Company's policy, mission and vision.
• Document Exchanges and Change Proposals; Regarding Document Changes Ensuring that document change proposals and requests are recorded and conducting and managing the document exchange process from the beginning to the end.
• Working in coordination with the ETS Department in order to digitally update the ship's drawings and lists of ships within the scope of document exchange.
