Habitat Academy

We’re looking for native or native-level English teachers with experience and passion to join our team for the 2026–2027 Academic Year, starting in September.

At Habitat Academy, we’re more than just a school; we’re a unique English learning home with a socially conscious mission. Our original syllabus is built on communicative and task-based approaches, and we teach entirely in English without relying on traditional textbooks. Through hands-on, experience-driven learning in a non-traditional setting, we aim to make language acquisition both meaningful and effective. Come be a part of it!

Responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons using communicative, task-based, and direct teaching approaches in a natural, immersive environment

• Running activity-based English sessions (e.g., cooking, filmmaking, drama) and preparing relevant teaching materials

• Supporting students in developing their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through group and individual instruction

• Providing personalized instruction to meet the educational, social, and emotional needs of students

• Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback

• Genuinely engaging with students before, during, and after sessions

• Communicating with parents when necessary and writing bi-monthly feedback letters

• Completing daily attendance and class progress records

• Attending staff meetings and school-organized social events

• Using digital tools (e.g., Office programs, Zoom, Google Drive) and devices (e.g., computers, printers, cameras and home appliances) efficiently

• Demonstrating professionalism, punctuality, and responsibility

This is a full-time position, and weekend availability for both days is required. Habitat Academy operates across three campuses: Akarbaşı, Batıkent and Vişnelik. Please note that we are currently unable to guarantee the specific location for this position.
