QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Mission 

Our ideal candidate can manage multiple simultaneous projects of all sizes to completion. They can lead and design the project goals and set measures to track success via key performance indicators and milestones. They ensure the project remains on time and on budget and motivate team members to hit their goals. This role will need to collaborate across the organization and be able to communicate between the project team and the leadership team to be successful.

Responsibilities

  • Chairing and initiating a variety of projects and project groups 0-3m€ in magnitude, leading CAPEX Projects.
  • Budget responsible for CAPEX projects
  • Carry out feasibility studies, initiating, investigating and budgeting CAPEX projects.
  • Responsible for execution, planning and coordination of (CAPEX) projects.
  • Responsible for coordination between different departments/stakeholders and contractors.
  • Responsible for deployment of temporary engineers/consultants, mechanics, (sub) contractors
  • Support Procurement of spare/ware parts, projects and equipment.
  • Functioning in cross functional teams with different cultures.
  • Liaison between operations, maintenance, engineering
  • Leads and manages cross-functional improvement projects, and is responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle: planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery.
  • Tracks progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators, and prepares reports to senior management.
  • Develops narrowly focused, clearly defined projects to streamline and improve organizational processes.
  • Partners with the communications, human resources and organizational development functions to create change management plans supporting successful improvement implementation.
  • Leads without authority to create cross organizational collaboration to achieve results on time and within budget parameters while meeting key metrics.
  • Ensures that financial, operational, and customer satisfaction objectives are met.
  • Has knowledge of and implements lean principals and continuous improvement processes.
  • Understands ISO 9001 and similar achievement standards.
  • Understands and applies Calderyys problem solving techniques to organizational operations.
  • May train, coach, and mentor on project management and process tools and methodologies.
  • Assists with the selection, negotiation, and managing of all activities regarding external consultants or vendors. 

Requirements 

  • Experience in process brick making industry, mining or recycling environment or similar
  • experience in project management, process technology, directives & legislation, change management
  • Objective driven with a strong focus on teambuilding
  • Talent for simplifying 
  • Skilled communicator and influencer between a variety of stakeholders like engineers/suppliers/
  • production/sales/finance/senior management.
  • motivating people to grow and push boundaries.
  • Making targets and commitments clear and accountable, translating business objectives into department objectives
  • Broad knowledge of Directives such: CE, Machinery, ATEX, PGS, PED, NEN, EN norms, EHS norms
  • Strong technical background, mechanical engineering
  • VCA I&II, Atex 137/95, Dedusting, Project Management, Process engineering
  • Familiar with: MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, Excel, Office outlook, AutoCad/Navisworks/Inventor 
  • Local Language, English fluently
  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, engineering or related applicable degree
  • 6+ years of overall experience in managing cross functional projects
  • Project management professional certification or equivalent required
  • Strong influencing skills with people/teams and experience operating successfully in a complex organization with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.  Relationship building, and change management skills will be essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to impact organizational effectiveness and excel on high performing teams capable of delivering strategic results.
  • Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level.
  • Master's Degree in Business, Management or related field preferred
  • Bachelor's/Master's  Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong intellectual capacity to assimilate and analyze complex qualitative and quantitative data for making solid business decisions
  • The ability to build relationships with key decision makers and demonstrated acumen for consulting with functional leaders in the development of talent and business strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including presentation planning and delivery skills
  • Effective change agent, constantly challenging conventional thinking, approach and methodology to drive breakthrough results, with a process focused, continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong desire to be held accountable for results
  • Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills
  • Unquestionable personal and business integrity with credibility both within the company and externally
  • Six Sigma certification at a green belt or higher level desirable
