Group Sales Manager
Join our dynamic Sales & Marketing team at the prestigious Hyatt Regency Istanbul Atakoy! We are looking for an experienced, strategic, and results-orientedGroup Sales Manager to lead our group sales efforts and drive revenue growth.
As a Group Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing group sales strategies, managing key client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and leading initiatives that contribute to the hotel's overall commercial success. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure exceptional service delivery and memorable guest experiences in line with Hyatt’s standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed group revenue targets.
• Identify, solicit, negotiate, and secure group business opportunities across corporate, MICE, leisure, and travel segments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate accounts, event planners, travel agencies, and industry partners.
• Conduct regular sales calls, client visits, site inspections, and networking activities to generate new business.
• Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to create competitive proposals, presentations, and promotional initiatives.
• Lead contract negotiations while ensuring profitability and alignment with hotel objectives.
• Coordinate closely with Events, Operations, Revenue Management, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of group bookings and events.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new revenue opportunities.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, reports, and account management records within the CRM system.
• Represent Hyatt Regency Istanbul Atakoy at industry events, trade shows, and business networking functions.
• Mentor and support junior sales team members when required, contributing to a high-performing sales culture.
Qualifications
• Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience within the hospitality industry, with proven success in group sales.
• Previous experience in a Group Sales Manager, Senior Sales Executive, or similar sales leadership role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the local and international corporate, MICE, and travel markets.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proven ability to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.
• Strong analytical and business planning capabilities.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are an asset.
• Experience with CRM systems and hotel sales platforms is preferred.
