Purpose of the Role
This role combines technical expertise with sales skills to:
- Increase sales of our industrial measurement and automation products
- Strengthen existing customer relationships
- Win new projects and expand our market share
- Provide strategic input to support business growth
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets in the assigned region/market segment
- Identify potential customers, conduct field visits, and analyze requirements
- Prepare tailored technical solutions and quotations
- Deliver presentations, product demonstrations, and technical discussions
- Manage quotation, pricing, and negotiation processes
- Track project sales cycles from opportunity to delivery
- Record all activities, quotations, and feedback in CRM tools, and generate reports
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and industry developments, and provide insights
- Coordinate with after-sales service, training, and technical support teams
- Travel domestically and internationally as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering or related fields
- 3–5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in industrial products / automation / process measurement
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to conduct customer presentations
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities
- Target-driven, proactive, and self-motivated
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with CRM software is an advantage
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
Preferred Skills / Nice to Have
- Background in automation systems, process instrumentation, or sensor technologies
- Project-based sales experience
- Ability to read technical drawings and knowledge of relevant industrial standards
- Strong motivation, goal orientation, and team collaboration skills
