Koç University Information Technology Directorate will be hiring an SEO Specialist (REMOTE) with the below-mentioned qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in related fields
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an SEO role with large sets of landing pages & high trafficked websites
• Proven ability to generate demand for products and services across multiple industries and sectors
• Familiarity with WordPress or other CMSs.
• Excellent analytical skills - the ability to identify trends, patterns, and insights from data
• Experience in an Agile environment
• Solid presentation skills and comfort in presenting in front of groups and clients
• Proven negotiation, problem-solving, organization, and project management skills
• A passion for collaboration, self-growth, and learning
• A passion to learn and keep up with digital marketing and technology trends
• Excellent oral and written skills in English
• No military obligation for male candidates

JOB DESCRIPTION

• On-page and technical SEO including identifying/enhancing H1’s, meta tags, descriptions, navigation, and site usability, internal linking, crawlability, URL parameters, maintaining sitemaps, adding structured data, and monitoring site speed
• Reporting and presenting SEO performance across websites
• Monitoring, evaluating, and resolving technical bugs/errors that impact UX and search engine performance
• Leading in-depth site audits and identifying on-page as well as technical SEO opportunities and troubleshooting business critical fixes
• Staying abreast of search engine guidelines, industry trends, and all search engine algorithm updates
• Monitoring the health of multiple websites through tools and data from Google Search Console, Page Speed Insights, Monsido, Google Analytics, etc.
• Recommendation of strategic changes to website architecture, content, linking, and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords/search entities
• Working with the Marketing and Product teams, to ensure that all pages are well optimized and implemented, and work with the Marketing and Communications teams to develop a strategic link-building initiative
• Developing SEO tests and strategies
