Design Office Chief

We are seeking a visionary, leadership-oriented, and experiencedDesign Office  Chief to join our team for our upcoming international Superstructure Projects, undertaken by our company, which operates prestigious international construction projects.

General Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering,
• At least 10 years of experience in design management and site design office coordination on large-scale, prestigious international building projects (preferably luxury hotels, mixed-use developments, or five-star residential projects),
• Good command of written and spoken English,
• Expertise in the superposition and coordination of architectural, structural, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), and landscaping disciplines, as well as BIM-based clash detection processes,
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and MS Office,
• Technical knowledge of design guidelines, room data sheets, material specifications, and aesthetic detail standards of international luxury hotel brands,
• Strong experience in preparing Material Submittal packages and managing approval processes with the consultant/client,
• Capability to work under an expat status in a dynamic and intensive international site environment.

Job Description

• Leading and managing the design office team to ensure the timely preparation, revision, and approval of shop drawings in alignment with the construction schedule,
• Reviewing the constructability of architectural, structural, and MEP designs on-site; resolving discrepancies and clashes within the technical office environment before construction begins,
• Managing technical meetings with the client, consultant engineers, and concept design architects regarding variations, project revisions, and detail resolutions,
• Reviewing and answering Requests for Information (RFIs) from the site team, integrating necessary design revisions into the construction drawings, and guiding site teams accordingly,
• Ensuring that interior fit-out and decorative details (including marble, joinery, bespoke ceilings, metalworks, etc.) are detailed flawlessly, matching luxury hotel standards and feasibility,
• Coordinating the preparation, review, and approval of "As-Built" drawings to ensure the project is ready for the handover stage,
• Developing value engineering alternatives in material selection and detailing to offer cost and time advantages without compromising quality.
