Marks and Spencer Turkey office was established in 2005 and is now responsible for sourcing Womenswear, Menswear,  Kidswear, Lingerie and Homeware products for Marks and Spencer UK Headquarter in London Waterside. The main responsibility of this regional office is to source, develop, plan and manage textile and home production around Turkey, Europe, North Africa, Middle East and Pakistan. Our team which started with 15 employees in 2005 has grown to 100 employees in region at a consistent pace. Our structure is made up of Merchandising (Clothing, Homeware, Operations), Technology (Quality, Fabric, Garment, Product, Plan A), Ethical Trading (Ethical Auditing), and Supply Chain teams, supported by Human Resources and Finance departments.

Our office is located in Yesilkoy-Istanbul.

We are looking for  a SUPPLY CHAIN COORDINATOR for our Supply Chain Department.

  Job Purpose:

•        Managing freight related issues.
•        Delivery of Cost performance and service targets
•        Ensure that high levels of operational service and cost efficiency are being achieved.
•        To be the first line response for the resolution of local operational issues related to freight movement.
•        Liaise with regional office, carriers, vendors, and head office.
•        Contribute to driving efficiency within shipment processes.
•        Challenging freight forwarders / carriers on service levels and local costs.
•        Analyse and report on service levels of freight managers and carriers.
•        Scheduled delivery of well collated and reported management information relating to the performance standards of both carriers and freight forwarders.
•       Cost performance targets relating to warehousing and freight.
•       Supporting any relevant development projects being implemented offshore and in the UK.

     What technical knowledge and skills do we need?

•       Knowledge of supply chain and logistcs operations
•       Good knowledge of logistics operations and processes with special focus on individual countries customs requirements.
•       Good understanding of cost drivers of supply chain and their impact on operations and services.
•       Fluent spoken and written English.
•       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•       Strong influence skills when dealing with different stakeholders, e.g. suppliers, carriers , freight forwarders.
•       Strong numerical/analytical skills.
•       Self-motivated
•       Passion, initiative and drive to continuously develop and service client with creativity and innovation
•       Knowledge of SAP
•       Working knowledge of common supply chain systems
•       Knowledge of regional supply chain operations 
•       In depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
•       Well-developed negotiation and training skills
•       Power BI (Basic understanding)
