Gender and Sea/Sh Specialist

International Infrastructure & Construction Project

We are seeking an experienced Gender and SEA/SH Specialist to lead gender-related measures and drive the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse and sexual harassment (SEA/SH) on a major international infrastructure project. This role is central to the project's commitment to a safe, inclusive working and community environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement gender action plans and SEA/SH prevention and response arrangements.

• Assess project-related gender and SEA/SH risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.

• Support the implementation of codes of conduct for employees and contractors.

• Deliver awareness sessions and training for management, workers and subcontractors.

• Establish accessible, confidential reporting channels in coordination with designated grievance personnel.

• Maintain referral arrangements with qualified support providers and apply a survivor-centred approach.

• Ensure that sensitive information is handled on a strict need-to-know basis and in accordance with agreed procedures.

• Monitor contractor implementation of training, conduct and prevention commitments.

• Coordinate with social and community liaison teams to support inclusive engagement.

• Prepare anonymised monitoring reports and recommend improvements without disclosing identifying case information.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Degree in Social Sciences, Sociology, Anthropology, Law, Development Studies or a related field.

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including 5 years in gender and SEA/SH prevention.

• Demonstrated expertise in prevention policies, response mechanisms and awareness training.

• Experience applying survivor-centred principles, confidentiality and informed consent.

• Familiarity with international lender requirements relevant to gender and SEA/SH risk management.

• Experience in infrastructure, construction or comparable project environments would be advantageous.

• Ability to train and communicate effectively with multicultural teams.

• Good written and spoken English, including policy development and reporting.

• Strong professional judgement and a sensitive, respectful approach to affected individuals.
