What does a Accounting Assistant Manager do?

• Providing leadership, direction and guidance to accounting team in line with company’s policies and procedures, coaching and mentoring them by setting priorities and accomplishing goals
• Managing the operational activities of the department including budgets and financial goals
• Planning and developing systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department
• Developing and implementing accounting procedures
• Responsible for month-end closing activities for legal financial statements
• Handling tax accounting and filing

We are looking for candidates with these competencies and technical knowledge

• University degree (preferably in Economics, Finance and Business Administration)
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting management role 
• Experience in setting up accounting systems
• Knowledge of Turkish Accounting standards (essential) and International Financial Reporting Standards (preferable)Knowledge of upcoming Turkish Commercial Law
• SMMM will be an asset
• Fluency in written and spoken English Excellent command of MS-Office Applications and good knowledge of SAP systems
• Result oriented personality with strong planning and analytical thinking skills
