Pricing Associate

We are a logistics company (Ocean and Air Freight Forwarding, Trucking Brokerage, Warehousing, Customs Brokerage and more) located in the United States, with operation support teams located in Istanbul, Türkiye and Medellin, Colombia.

We are looking for a Pricing Associate (to be positioned in the Pricing Team) for our Istanbul office. The Pricing Associate will support the Pricing Team and communicate with the vendors, ocean and air carriers, agent partners all around the world, shippers, consignees, and all other parties involved in our day-to-day pricing operations. The Associate will also deal with the documentation related to international trade and logistics. Chasing after the vendors, creating resolutions from the tiny details, understanding the clients ‘needs will be the highlight of the Pricing Associate`s role in the company.

Main Duties and Tasks

* Receiving, analyzing, and understanding of the rate requests received from the clients and agent partners.

* Following up the correspondences, and getting the results from the best alternative vendors, carriers and parties involved in the pricing process.

* Understanding the dynamics of being and doing business in the United States.

* Making the research for the new projects and gaining assets to the company.

* Coordinating the vendors, carriers, and other parties with the operations team.

* Following up of some daily/weekly/monthly tasks without additional initiation by the pricing team. (Advanced tasks to be assigned after adequate experience is gained).

 Qualified Candidates Will Have

* Advanced Spoken and Written English (All communication on phone, emails and Zoom sessions are in English. Candidates must feel confident to speak English fluently to make progress for this role.)

* Professional’s Degree (preferably in related fields) or Similar Work Experience

* A Good Understanding of Computers

* General Ability to Learn and Navigate Through The Software(s) (CargoWise knowledge is highly preferable)

* Willing to work in U.S. Eastern Standard Time (Our business hours are weekdays from 15:30 to 01:00 - during summertime from Mid-March to Earlier November, and weekdays from 16:30 to 02:00 -during winter hours from Earlier November to Mid-March). Those times may vary depending on the customer visit schedules and other related events.
