Procurement Specialist

We are looking for a highly motivated Procurement Specialist to join our expanding team. This position plays a key role in managing the procurement activities for various domestic and international projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement activities in accordance with purchase requisitions and contractual agreements.
• Ensure the purchase of goods at the best possible price, quality, and delivery schedule.
• Monitor all outstanding orders and provide regular updates to relevant departments.
• Review and interpret food product specifications and source appropriate items.
• Coordinate timely communication and documentation (quality certifications, invoices, etc.) with suppliers; review and approve related documents.
• Evaluate supplier performance and ensure continuous improvement in quality and service.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Conduct market research to identify alternative suppliers and build new sourcing channels.
• Prepare and present regular purchasing reports and performance analyses.
• Monitor market trends and provide material pricing forecasts to support strategic purchasing decisions.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Department, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably within the food industry.
• Solid understanding of purchasing methodologies, specification analysis, and vendor evaluation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and negotiation skills.
• Results-driven, proactive, and adaptable individual with strong analytical thinking.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Familiarity with food commodity markets and technical food specifications is preferred.
• Must be located in or willing to relocate to Mersin.
