Özel Ege Lisesi was founded in 1988; it has been providing a high quality education to its students as a K-12 school in Bornova, İzmir.  The aim of Özel Ege Lisesi is to raise leaders of tomorrow who are able to live comfortably in any part of the world.  In order to reach this goal, Özel Ege Lisesi promotes foreign language education to the highest standard. Ozel Ege Lisesi is accredited by the Turkish Ministry of Education and is a member of the College Board. The school became an SAT center in 2016. Ozel Ege Lisesi, the third member in Turkey and the first member of the College Board in İzmir in the 2013-2014 Academic Year, introduced Advanced Placement (AP) courses and exams in 2013. Taught in English, AP courses are also recognized as elective courses by the Turkish Ministry of Education and appear in our students’ transcripts. By offering 25 AP lessons our school started to implement the AP Capstone diploma program in the 2020-2021 academic year which offers our students a double degree option.
