LOCATION:

Istanbul - Turkey

 

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Reservation Intern provides administrative support to the Reservation Supervisor for the successful and profitable management of the reservation function at PEAK DMC in Turkey. This includes liaising with operators, making bookings. This role will also work closely with the Operations Department to assist in the successful running of trips and also the Sales Department assisting with private group reservations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Travel experience in Turkey and a passion for travel

Outstanding organisational and customer service skills and attention to detail Experience in analysis and creating reports

Strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to communicate in English and Turkish

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

A strong knowledge of PEAK’s style of travel,

Good knowledge of IT systems

Flexible and adaptable to handle a multitude of tasks that may be on the go at the one time Excellent communication (verbal & written) skills

Can work independently and with a team

An understanding of and belief in PEAK’s Responsible Travel philosophy

Responsible, reliable and honest

Friendly, with a sense of humour and a smile!

Operational Accountabilities of Role

Benchmark Measure

Ensure accurate reservation information sent to suppliers within agreed timeframes.

Assisting with reservations local sales within agreed time frames.

Accuracy & timeliness of bookings confirmed

To ensure excellent customer service to external customers (pax and suppliers) and internal customers (colleagues, leaders, and guides)

Communicate to Manager as soon as practically possible any alteration and emergency

Ensure inquiries/complaints being handled within 24 hours

Provide on-going support to internal and/or external customers as required

Target no complaints from internal and external.

Assist Supervisor with specific tasks or projects as required

Supervisor & Manager’s feedback
