Senior System Engineer

As PEAKUP Recruitment Solutions, we are seeking a System Engineer on behalf of our client for a permanent position within their internal IT organization. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing, optimizing, and securing enterprise infrastructure while ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of critical systems.

This position will be responsible for supporting server infrastructure, virtualization platforms, cloud services, storage solutions, business continuity, and disaster recovery processes. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on technical expertise with a proactive approach to troubleshooting, automation, and continuous improvement in enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Programming, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in System Administration, Infrastructure Management, or a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Solid knowledge of Active Directory, ADFS, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, File Server, and Print Server administration.
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with enterprise server, storage, and infrastructure technologies (Dell, HP, Lenovo, Cisco, IBM, EMC, etc.).
• Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage solutions and their integration with virtualization environments.
• Good understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VLAN, VPN, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of backup technologies, disaster recovery solutions, and business continuity planning.
• Experience with monitoring and management tools such as SCOM, SCCM, or similar solutions.
• Familiarity with information security principles, standards, and best practices.
• Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and stay up to date with industry trends.
• No restrictions for domestic or international travel.
