Molding Engineer / Process Development Engineer

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Molding Engineer on behalf of ourpartner client, a global leader in packaging technologies delivering operational excellence, speed, and quality across international markets.

Your Mission:

• Develop, assess, and document new and existing injection molding processes. Implement and evaluate process changes designed to improve product quality, productivity, and Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).

• Experienced in the maintenance, commissioning, and production processes of multi-cavity injection molds with complex sliding core mechanisms.

• Develop and optimize injection molding process parameters for new products.

• Skilled in the installation, commissioning, start-up, and optimization of injection molding machines.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to process technicians, operators, and other molding personnel.

• Develop and maintain process documentation, ensuring processes and procedures are clearly stated and understandable for all employees.

• Provide technical support/solutions to manufacturing processes, improve yield and throughput, drive cost reduction activities, and improve part quality.

• Demonstrated ability to start-up, operate, and shut down process-related equipment.

• Able to work independently on new process development as well as troubleshooting current production issues.

• Work with equipment and material vendors to resolve machine and material issues.

• Monitor and report issues with injection molds; make recommendations for refurbishment based on production factors such as cycles, process capability, and tooling history.

• Facilitate and support facility safety, environmental, and ergonomics efforts.

• Troubleshoot molding processes, material, or equipment issues.

• Collect and analyze data on individual processes to identify and improve process capability.

• Play a leadership role in continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Plastics, Polymer, or a related Engineering discipline.

• At least 3 years of practical work experience in an Injection Molding Operation.

• Strong and diverse technical background in injection molding processing, tooling, equipment, materials, manufacturing, and quality.

• Self-starter with high self-motivation, able to work with minimal direction.

• Ability to manage multiple start-up projects simultaneously.

• Demonstrated superior communication (written and verbal), teamwork, and organizational skills.

• Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

• Ability to lead others, including the indirect supervision of process technicians.

• Working knowledge of a wide range of thermoplastic materials and their properties.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
