Quality Control and Expediting Engineers

We are looking for Quality Control and Expediting Engineer, which operates in the world leader for dry cooling solutionsmanufacturers.

JOB SUMMARY

Integrated within the Supply Chain Department, your mission will be to ensure timely and complete delivery of the ordered components as well as ensure the proper and on-time preparation of quality documentation related to the equipment such as steel structure, ducting, tanks and piping components.

The QC and Expediting Engineer is responsible for the expediting of material and equipment, gathering and controlling the related quality documents produced by vendors.

The role is critical in support of project management, technical teams, and procurement.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Expediting

• This role main purpose is to expedite the material and equipment vendors. Follow up their progress, perform weekly meetings with suppliers

• Ensure timely and complete delivery of all ordered goods and equipment through strong vendor follow-up

Organize and ensure fabrication progress reporting, progress tracking of suppliers

2.    Documentation

• Collect on time and control all quality documents from vendors and check their compliance with the contract requirements, component specifications and standards requirements according to Quality Control Plan

Receive, sort and archive hard copies and electronic copies of all technical drawings, reports and related information in an orderly manner, in line with internal and/or project procedures. Work with precision to ensure that all electronic and hard copy filing is accurate and is easily retrievable

• Allocate and control the document numbering system for the project work

Accurately and timely update information and documents as required

• Ensure timely collection of Final Dossier including shipping documents

3.    Quality

• Organize, coordinate, and ensure successful client and third party inspections at SPGDC suppliers’ workshop
• Inspect equipment before delivery at vendor’s workshop when necessary
• Support the Project Manager, Engineering team and Supply Chain team when dealing with manufacturing quality matters
• Collect and report Lessons Learned

EDUCATION AND TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Master or Bachelor education in mechanical field.
• Knowledge of Quality Documentation, QCP’s and ITP’s, material certificates, test procedures, welding documents (WPS, PQR, WPQ, welding maps), painting and galvanizing procedures
• Familiar with steel structure fabrication, duct works, piping works, familiar with design codes and fabrication norms (ASME, ISO and EN)
• Knowledge of welding techniques for steel and pipe works is an asset

• Ability to compile structured documentation files and reports.
• Ability to travel within Turkey when necessary (40% of the time)
• Ability to travel abroad when necessary (10% of the time)
