Job Description 

Title: Medical Manager 

Main responsibilities

Medical and Scientific Data Generation and Communication 

• Lead the development and execution of company data generation plans (e.g. Phase 4 studies) to provide post marketing data that support company products and the patients and HCPs that use them. 
• Collaborate with the external academic partners to contribute to robust publication plans that are aligned with medical data generation.
•  Be responsible for company’s medical materials and content used in external communications and education/training. 
• Establish and maintain internal organizational links with the broader R&D, Commercial and other departments to ensure appropriate support for projects. 

External Relationships 

• Establish and maintain relationships with top tier thought leaders in the vaccine area to establish a strong scientific presence in the clinical and academic communities. 
• Collaborate with the field medical teams to ensure thought leader development and communication is optimized. 
• Assess external study proposals and concepts related to the vaccine area to ensure alignment with strategy 
• Deliver portfolio-related clinical presentations and participate in prioritized scientific congresses. 
• Responsible for collecting external insights to inform company (e.g. via advisory boards, strategic insights, field insight discussions)

Requirements

• University degree in Medicine or Pharmacy, Advanced medical/scientific degree (MD, MBBS, PhD or Pharmacy) with experience in the pharmaceutical or related healthcare field is preferred.
• Typically requires 5+ years of relevant experience that could include clinical, academic, or prior industry related roles 
• Previous work as a medical science liaison and management/supervisory experience is desirable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in local language as well as English
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop and deliver high-quality presentations
• Excellent project management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and resources
• Ability to anticipate obstacles and difficulties that may arise in the field and act upon these to resolve them in a collaborative manner
• Must also perform duties of an individual contributor in addition to managerial responsibilities
