Job Purpose;

Shell Turkey has two waste management compliance topics.

• HSSE Control Framework
• Local legislation which will be in effect by end 2020.

For both topics above, Shell Turkey’ s target is to be compliant at Company Operated (CO) Sites by mid-2020. Achieving that, Shell Turkey may also be able to replicate the same structure for our Shell Branded Sites that are operated by Dealers.

Using Shell methods our Dealers will also be compliant and insured against any environmental topics. The proposed job holder’s priority will be to clarify and close all gaps that are related to HSSE Control Framework as well as to monitor and control 3rd party companies that will be responsible for Local Legislation compliance for all CO Sites.

In addition to responsibilities above the job holder will also be responsible for;

• Carbon Offsetting processes and tenders related to Forestation, Solar Sites’ implementation and Waste Segregation and Disposal under a Program of Activities (PoA) Plan,
• Environmental acceptance processes for i.e. Soil Ground Water and Asbestos inspections for NTS (New to Shell) and NTI (New to Industry) Sites,

Accountabilities and Dimensions;

• Mastery on Waste related legislation,
• Good grasp to handle business related topics such as tenders and capability to introduce plan(s) to create income,
• Waste Management       : Developing a process to monitor and control Waste Management activities to be compliant at all CO Sites.
• Carbon Offsetting            : All carbon related topics such as Forestation, Land Restoration, Waste Segregation, Solar Sites etc. shall be treated to create a Carbon Neutral mindset and certificated as per Shell Turkey New Energies agenda,
• Engineering                        : On a timely schedule and when requested by Network Engineering, support/initiate a plan to analyze NTS and NTI Sites on an environmental scale regarding company expectations and procedures,

Competencies;

• Environmental Engineering is a must,
• Fluency in English,
• Masters in Business Administration preferred,
