QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

When Sigma was first formed in 2003 we were a small firm dealing in telecommunication infrastructure services, our main focuses were network optimisation, planning and drive testing. Sigma enjoyed modest success in this field for over 10 years but then, in 2013 we remembered that for any business to truly thrive, grow and more importantly to succeed it needs to diversify and innovate in a way its competition and the rest of the industry does not.
It was at this point we decided to take Sigma Telecom across new horizons and we built up our infrastructure, made our investments, took risks and entered the VoIP market in 2014. Over the last couple of years Sigma has enjoyed unprecedented success in this industry we currently carry traffic worldwide and are connected with over 500 companies globally.
To ensure further growth and steady success of our company we are looking for anenthusiastic and passionated UI/UX Designer, who creates outstanding User Interfaces to turn into rich User Experience for our mobile and web apps and works with our product and marketing teams. To join our team you should have the following qualifications:


  • 4+ years of experience designing complex web and mobile apps, preferably within an agile environment.
  • Strong portfolio of work showing;
    • wireframes,
    • prototypes,
    • storyboards,
    • user flows,
    • screen comps, etc.
  • Ability to design in Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing tools.
  • Ability to present designs and solutions to stakeholders.
  • Ability to receiving objective criticism and improving upon it.
  • Ability to plan and manage several design tasks.
  • Up-to-date with the latest relevant trends, techniques and technologies.
  • Life-long learning habit.
  • Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Fluent in speaking English.

It would be nice if you have some of the following experiences:

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS3 and JavaScript for rapid prototyping.
  • Experience in working with Ticketing Systems (preferably JIRA).

JOB DESCRIPTION

Mainly, you will collaborate with our product development and management teams. In weekly meetings your upcoming tasks and responsibilities will be discussed, which can be:

  • Creating design deliverables for multiple projects such as process flows, wireframes, graphic design assets, specifications and prototypes for web-based and mobile apps.
  • Executing all visual design processes from concept to final version ready for development.
  • Improving existing UI for better UX.
  • Facilitate effective design collaboration with software developers, and both internal/external project stakeholders.
  • Researching our intended customers to deeply understand user roles, tasks, needs, desires, and opportunities.
  • Planing, prioritizing and managing own tasks.
