Quality Engineer

Sikorsky Aircraft Turkey, Inc.

• BA/BS Degree in Engineering or Quality Preferred.

• A&P license in power plant and airframe a plus
• Certified Quality Engineer or Auditor (CQE/CQA) a plus. 
• 5-10 years’ experience inspecting product associated machined parts
• Hands on use of inspection gages, inspection software, and media of inspection tools
• Knowledge of Sikorsky systems, engineering drawings, the Strategic Supplier Quality Database-(SSQS), and Sikorsky Aircraft manufacturing requirements
• High energy, positive attitude, good interpersonal skills, and a professional demeanor
• Experience in a diverse multi-disciplinary environment
• Candidate must be fluent in Turkish and English

Assure that the Sikorsky suppliers are complying with the requirements of SSQR-01 by performing first article inspection, inprocess inspection and final inspections of machine parts and assemblies at suppliers facilities. Represent the Sikorsky quality department at the suppliers facility to assure quality product is produced and delivered to Sikorsky. Conduct critical/non-critical Quality System audits and special process audits for flight safety /non-flight safety suppliers as required.

This position is based in Ankara, Turkey, working for Sikorsky Aircraft Turkey (SATI).

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for the following:

• Conduct Quality oversight on suppliers located at Ankara, Turkey. 
• Duties include assuring that Quality Standards are met and product is processed per required procedures.
• Interfacing with various departments located in Stratford as well as the supply base to obtain a quality product by utilizing relentless root cause/corrective action process to ensure problem closure.
• Conducting source inspection along with audits of Contract Quality Representatives (CQR) and supplier Designated Quality Representatives (DQR) personnel.
• Responsibilities also include conducting Quality system and special process audits of prime supplier and subtiers, as required.
• Conduct Quality Engineering related activities such as process flow charting, problem investigation/analysis, standards and procedure updating/development, report writing, and presentation development in support of daily activities.
• Perform FAI inspections and filling out AS9102 forms for detail sheet metal parts, composite parts, Aero structure assemblies and composite assemblies.
• Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft office programs.
