Project Engineer

TAYSAD

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS 

EDUCATION: Degree in Engineering, with an automotive-related specialization in the fields of Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronic, Electrical/Electronic or Computer Engineering.
EXPERIENCE: At least 3-5 years of experience in the automotive sector working as a Project or Quality Engineer.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE: Advanced competency in written and spoken English.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications, particularly expertise in creating presentations, tables and analysis subheadings.
 

OTHER: 

Applicants are expected

·        To be non-smokers,

·        To possess a driver’s license and to be able to drive,

·        To be free to travel, to live on the Asian side of Istanbul or Gebze Area,

·        To have completed their military service (for male candidates).

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Candidates must have the ability to work enthusiastically on project management, reporting and analysis, and keep abreast of technical regulations. They should also be able to conduct lengthy, detailed correspondence.

JOB DESCRIPTION 

To assist members in getting the information they need about EU and Turkish regulations to enable them to take advantage of R&D assistance; and to work with members so as to increase their headquarters presence.

To supervise the Technical Working Group and manage the duties performed by its secretary.

To take part in official and academic initiatives at the national and international levels; to actively monitor changes in regulations and technology;to contribute to efforts to adapt and standardize these changes within Turkey by monitoring international and national regulations; to assume the duties of secretary in these pursuits.

To take an active role in work done by public organizations and NGOs in the automotive field; to maintain communication and keep track of follow-up issues after meetings held with pertinent ministries and stakeholders.

To analyze international and local automotive sector reports; to keep track of relevant data banks and news; to analyze said reports and data banks for the purpose of comparing them with data in Turkey; to write reports on these subjects when necessary.

 
To identify and research legal practices in parallel sectors (e.g., rail systems, aviation and defense industries) that will contribute to the advancement of the automotive sector, and to prepare projects designed to implement these practices in automotive manufacturing.

To work with members on International Competition Development Projects (URGE) and to prepare reports on developments arising therefrom.

To actively participate in the activities of the organization (e.g., Technical Conference (Engineering, Maintenance, Technology Day), and to monitor and to write reports concerning these activities.

To participate in work to be done with Development Agencies, and to engage in project development, monitoring and report writing.

To be involved in other areas for which the Technology Management and Regulations Specialist is responsible.
