Full-Time & Part-Time English Teachers Wanted! (in Ankara)

The Turkish American Association is seeking passionate English teachers to join our team in Cinnah, Kavaklıdere, Ankara for the2024-2025 Academic Year! We offer a chance to make a difference by teaching both adults and children in a dynamic and friendly environment.

Full-Time Positions

Our full-time English teachers will have the opportunity to:

·       Teach engaging English lessons to adult groups on weekday mornings and evenings.

·       Design and deliver fun and effective classes for kids aged 7-13 on weekends.

Part-Time Positions

We are also looking for part-time English teachers to lead engaging and fun weekend English classes for our students aged 7-14.

Required Qualifications:

•     A degree in English Language Teaching, English Language and Literature, American Culture and Literature or English Linguistics.

•     At least one year of experience teaching English as a foreign or second language (EFL/ESL) in an educational setting is required..

•     Turkish citizenship, with eligibility for appointment by the Turkish Ministry of Education.

•     Ability to engage students of varying ages and proficiency levels, using21st-century skills and the Communicative Approacheffectively.

•     Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

•     Plan, prepare and conduct engaging lessons for students of various levels delivered in face-to-face or online group settings.

•     Assist students in improving their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through individual and group sessions.

•     Evaluate tests and written assignments, providing constructive feedback on grammar, vocabulary, and overall language skills.

•     Participate in and contribute actively to training sessions.

•     Manage administrative tasks such as online lesson planning and recording attendance.

•     Adapt well to teamwork and demonstrate effective team collaboration.

•     Exhibit a strong sense of responsibility and discipline.
