FINANCE
Join our global team of Financial Controlling, Accounting & Tax, Treasury and FP&A professionals who have specialized in their field!
What to expect from a Senior Accounting Specialist position at VavaCars;
- With all AR and AP transactions, manage daily accounting activities with full control of cost centers and approvals according to Accounting & Tax SOPs, ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial records and ensure corrective measures are taken.
- Resolve errors/mistakes in purchase orders in corporation with procurement team and provide support to the Business Unit for invoice submission and approvals with becoming a good finance partner for business.
- Resolve suspended and blocked invoices, as well as addressing debt balances and required actions, supervise the processing of invoices and payments to vendors, as well as the collection of receivables from customers.
- Be an important owner of month-end closing processes, make sure that the timelines are met.
- Follow up and have full control of income and expense accruals in the month end and work in colloboration with FP&A team.
- Perform full trial balance reconciliations in the month end.
- Prepare and review weekly payment list.
- Collaborate with other departments budget requests and related matters.
- Contribute, identify, implement and support for system improvements. Identify inefficiencies in accounting processes and propose automation or other improvements to enhance accuracy and productivity.
- Support all tax processes related to VAT, Stamp, corporate tax and e-ledger reporting, ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with tax authorities where required.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations.
What you will bring:- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CPA candidate may be preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, ability to communicate
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
- System implementation and change experience may be preferred
