SALES DIRECTOR
Position Summary
Our company, operating in the food ingredients and specialty chemicals industry, is seeking a Sales Director to lead its commercial organization and support its strategic growth objectives.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Sales Director will develop and execute the Company's commercial strategy, drive sustainable growth, strengthen key customer relationships, and lead the sales organization to achieve business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in B2B sales, commercial management, or business development.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a sales leadership role with responsibility for managing and developing sales teams.
- Experience in the food ingredients, chemicals, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing industries.
- Proven track record of delivering sustainable sales growth and achieving commercial targets.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer requirements, pricing strategies, and competitive environments.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and strategic decision-making capabilities.
- Experience in utilizing ERP and CRM systems to support commercial decision-making and sales performance management.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Valid Class B driver's license and no restrictions on domestic or international travel.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Growth
- Develop and implement the Company's commercial strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion initiatives.
- Develop annual and long-term commercial plans.
- Identify new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and emerging market trends.
Sales Leadership
- Lead, develop, and motivate the sales organization to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
- Monitor team performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Foster a high-performance, customer-focused, and results-driven culture.
Key Account Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic partners.
- Lead high-level customer meetings, negotiations, and commercial discussions.
- Drive customer retention and long-term account growth.
Budget & Performance Management
- Prepare and manage the annual sales budget.
- Analyze business performance and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure efficient utilization of resources and achievement of financial targets.
Market & Business Development
- Monitor market developments, customer expectations, and industry trends.
- Lead market research, industry analysis, and commercial intelligence initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for product diversification and entry into new markets.
Project & Commercial Opportunity Management
- Evaluate new commercial opportunities and major projects from both strategic and financial perspectives.
- Coordinate commercial activities related to strategic growth initiatives.
