We are currently recruiting Sustainability Projects Specialist for our local Sustainability Department in ITX Trading Istanbul Office.  Inditex Social Sustainability Department is responsible for ensuring compliance with Inditex Code of Conduct for External Suppliers and Manufacturers (Inditex COC) and ensuring ethical sourcing within the supply chain. The department is also responsible for implementing sustainability related projects in the supply chain of textile production.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree
• Passion for human rights
• Maintains integrity and takes a clear ethical approach and stance
• Preferably having an experience in project management
• Excellent communication skills and self-motivation
• Strong analytical, problem solving and follow up skills
• Adaptable and flexible, adjusting to multiple demands, multi-tasking
• Having an interest in local and international labor laws
• High level of interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player and communicate effectively at all levels within an organization;
• Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus;
• Strong professional skills including the development of reports and presentations;
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Job Description:

Sustainability Project Specialist will be mainly responsible to provide planning, execution and monitoring support in Social Sustainability Projects and will help the team to achieve objectives of priority impact areas defined as per the sustainability strategy of Inditex along with the Sustainability Country Manager.

• Understanding international best practices – including the Company’s commitment to International Standards
• Help developing Inditex Sustainability strategy in Turkey
• Conduct regular research of literature, articles, reports as well as industry-specific developments relevant to priority impact areas
• Active participation and contribution in local and global working groups
• Participate in human rights due diligence in the global supply chain and in the analysis of the local trends, challenges and needs
• Contribute to the identification of potential partners in projects
• Support or lead day-to-day management of the project delivery
• Prepare project-related documentation
• Perform necessary tasks in the lifecycle of projects; from conceptualization to closure, including but not limited to: 

-         Support or lead communication with the suppliers as well as project partners.

-         Manage necessary logistics for project implementation.

-         Regular reporting on the progress of projects through available tools and systems.

-         Participate in monitoring activities including periodic visits to the project locations to ensure the activities and progress are aligned with the plan.

• Participate in events such as conferences or seminars in relevant subjects.
• Ensure compliance with the available guidelines, standards, and procedures.
• Close and regular liaison with Sustainability Project Manager along with project team.
