We are in search of a Legal Consultantto work at our Istanbul Office.

What do we expect from you?

• Capable of drafting contracts and agreements and review legal documents and contracts,
• Prepare contractual and commercial risk assessment for requests for proposal and provide support during the pre-tendering stage,
• Knows Commercial contract and relevant economy Laws with an eye to combine with business target and propose risk control scenario,
• Strong corporate know-how in Turkish Commercial Law Code and Code of Obligations and Labor law,
• Participate in Project management and provide practical scenario for avoiding risks and help business promotion,
• Optimize company business internal procedure legalized, and suggestions, assess and supervise risks,
• Conduct legal research and provide legal opinions related to countries the company already operates in as well as new jurisdictions and growth markets,
• Identify areas for improvement in existing contracting processes, revise existing procedures and/or templates or draft new ones,
• Provide other legal advice concerning Labor Law,
• Carrying out all inter-company correspondence and communication,
• Follow-ups of all current litigation and enforcement files,
• Reporting on weekly/monthly basis to the local management and China Headquaters.

 
Qualifications

• University degree in law from a reputable Turkish University or from a Foreign University duly accepted in Turkey,
• Advanced level of English fluency is a must,
• 1-3 years of experience, experience at a company as an in-house lawyer or as a law firm lawyer dedicated for companies both for litigation and corporate matters will be an asset,
• Able to communicate in a multicultural business environment,
• Highly responsible, organized and motivated with strong verbal/written and presentation skills and excellent communication skills.
• Strong legal experience in corporate, commercial, and general laws in Turkey.
• Proficient in computer applications and MS Office programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint,),
• Knowledge and experience in writing, reviewing, and executing business contracts.
• Ensuring the necessary legal search and drafting the necessary legal opinions.
• Ensure proper handling of writing, reviewing, and executing business contracts such as engagement letters, General Terms & Conditions, and handling the related contract negotiation meetings with the Client companies.
• Carrying out all inter-company correspondence and communication.
• For male candidates, the military service should be completed and/or postponed for a minimum of 2 years.
