ENKA İnşaat ve Sanayi A.Ş. has founded at 1957, is a recognized international EPC (Engineering – Procurement – Construction) Company has designed and built many Projects for Oil and Gas Process, Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP) Projects, Simple Cycle Power Plants (SCPP) Projects, Coal Fired Power Plants, Desalination Plants, Pipeline&Pump Stations, Well Pad Facilities, and the Tank Farms in all over the world up to date.

ENKA has its own `in-house` multi-disciplinary engineering team that performs all design services required for the development of above mentioned projects. ENKA Engineering team carries out Conceptual (FEED), Basic and Detailed engineering for the Process, Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Control, Civil & Structural, and Architectural disciplines.

ENKA Engineering organization comprises of 3 main divisions located in Istanbul Head Quarter - Engineering Offices in Turkey;

· ENKA Civil, Structural and Infrastructural,

· ENKA Architectural Design, and

· ENKA Energy Engineering.

ENKA Energy Engineering is seeking for new teammates who will become the member of ENKA’s design & engineering team located in Istanbul, Turkey. We are seeking to hire a Mechanical Fire Systems Design Engineer  to be employed within the Energy Projects Design Center in Our Head Office in Istanbul.

QUALIFICATIONS

• B.Sc or M.Sc degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Minimum 2 years of engineering work experience about fire fighting systems of industrial projects

• Good command of written and spoken English

• Good knowledge of MS Office programs

• Extensive experience in the use of graphic tools like AutoCAD

• Good knowledge of OmniCADD software

• Strong communication skills, team worker

• Analytical thinking, result oriented, enthusiastic, self motivated, positive and energetic

• Ability to work in harmony with other engineering disciplines

• No restriction to travel and stay abroad when needed

• No military obligation for male candidates

• Knowledgeable and experienced in selection of fire fighting equipment (e.g. fire water pumps, foam systems, sprinkler systems, clean agent systems)

• Good knowledge of NFPA and experience about UL/FM requirements

• Familiar with major international standards of ASME, ASTM, API, ISO and EN associated with design, material selection and testing of fire fighting equipment.

• Experienced in power plants and O&G projects

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Carry out mechanical design works for fire fighting systems in power plants and O&G projects.

• Prepare design basis for fire protection system in addition to material requisitions, technical specifications, and datasheets for fire fighting equipment.

• Review and approve suppliers’ technical proposals. Prepare technical bid evaluation document based on these proposals and project requirements.

• Review and approve manufacturers’ technical documentation (drawings, sizing calculations, datasheets, material and test certificates, etc.)

• Prepare fire fighting P&ID’s and check interfaces with other plant P&ID’s.

• Prepare fire fighting MTO’s including fire fighting equipment (e.g. hydrant, fire system valves, sprinklers, fire hose stations, ec.) and fire fighting piping components (e.g., pipe, fitting, etc.)

• Prepare detail design drawings such as: emergency evacuation plans, fire water plan drawings (to be shared with plant design group), equipment and line sizing calculation of fire water system

• Carry out all necessary calculations such as: firewater demand calculation, hydraulic calculation (via OmniCADD software).

• Exchange the information with the other engineering disciplines and coordinate the inter-disciplinary documents reviews and other related engineering works jointly developed.

• Be the technical interface with Site Team and Vendor.

• Attend Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests.
