R&D Mechanical Engineer

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Requires a minimum of 2 years of design or related experience
• Demonstrated design successes on components and/or non-critical sub-systems
• Must have some industry knowledge
• Competent with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
• Must possess upper intermediate oral and written communication English skills.
• Solidworks knowledge (CAD) would be an advantage

Responsible for design, development, and refinement of mechanical components and sub-systems to meet quality and regulatory standards, and customer needs.  Works with minimum supervision for performing their duties.

• Knows and applies the fundamental and some advanced concepts, practices and procedures of mechanical engineering design
• Designs, develops and rafines components and sub-systems according to internal and external standards
• Works under close supervision and with specific direction provided by more experienced staff
• Keeps supervisor informed regularly on status of work
• Has some latitude for independent action or decision
