QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

YILPORT Holding is a privately held, wholly owned subsidiary of YILDIRIM Group, one of the fastest growing and most developed Turkish industrial groups with its container terminals in Turkey, Malta, Sweden and Norway including new developments underway through multiple continents. As being the first Turkish global port operator, we provide total supply chain solutions to our customers with state-of-the art technologies and with the best talents across all operations. With a massive pipeline of new investments, our ambition is to become one of the top 10 container terminal operator over the next 10 years. 

To support our accelerated growth strategy, we are looking for an ambitious Human Resources Director to be based in YILPORT Holding Gebze Terminal. Reporting to the CEO, this role encompasses both strategic and operational elements across the full HR spectrum.

 
 
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or any other related field
  • Fluency in English is required. Spanish as a second language is a plus
  • Minimum 10 years of experience across all HR disciplines including recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, international HRM and conflict resolution in a multinational environment
  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience especially leading teams in different geographic locations
  • Experience in working with a diverse workforce at all levels (including white/blue collar employees and international employees)
  • Key skills and abilities include leadership, customer orientation, coaching, influencing, facilitation, communication, process development, analysis, and problem solving
  • Ability to envision HR initiatives at a high level, as well as dive deep to implement necessary changes and strategies
  • Proven ability to make rational judgements and decisions, particularly in situations of high ambiguity
  • Proven track record of leadership with demonstrated ability to develop talent
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage deadlines and multiple priorities; work under pressure and handle confidential information appropriately
  • Understand and abide by current local employment laws/regulations and union relations in a wide range of global locations
  • Position may require travel to multiple terminals and occasional out of country travel


İŞ TANIMI

Being the leader of the HR Center of Excellence, HR Director will define, develop, and successfully implement global, functional and regional HR initiatives and Human Capital practices in line and alligned with the Holding's HR strategy across the YILPORT Holding companies
 
 
  • Lead the implementation of HR initiatives including compensation & benefits program, workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, performance management, and leadership development 
  • Lead integration efforts for all human resource issues arising from mergers and acquisitions
  • Consult with key leaders to implement a talent and succession planning and review process for building organizational strategies, reviews of talent, plans for growth, development and training
  • Provide leadership and direction in driving a culture of high performance and accountability
  • Provide consultation on employee engagement and satisfaction techniques designed to build the desired organizational culture
  • Ensure compensation and benefits structure best supports the Holding's strategic objectives and talent retention
  • Provide compensation support, including salary planning and benchmarking across a diverse range of markets in various countries
  • Develop and/or coordinate and communicate employee reward and recognition programs 
  • Develop the Holding’s global mobility policies and procedures associated with international assignments by providing recommendations through regular benchmarking and analysis (expatriate management)
  • Understand and abide by current local employment laws/regulations in a wide range of global locations
  • Communicate changes in Holding personnel policies and procedures and ensure proper compliance is followed
  • Ensure appropriate systems and self-service is in place to allow the HR team to deliver a quality service efficiently
  • Help ensure that the YILPORT Holding’s mission, vision and values are pertinent, prominent and practiced throughout the entire companies
