QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
BATA FOOD is a fast-growing, dynamic trade organization specialized in international trade of nuts and dried fruits, cocoa, seeds and other ingredients for the food industry.
We do export, import and re-export food commodities in more than 44 countries worldwide. Among our clients are both small and large processors, packers and traders in the food industry. In connection with the expansion of our activities, we want to get in touch with enthusiastic and talented candidates for Nuts & Dried Fruits Trader position.
Important Note: Job interview will be held in English with computer skills practice and case study questions
Minimum Bachelor degree (ideally International Trade, Business Administration or from relevant faculties)
Minimum number of 2 year(s) experience in food trade and import/export procedures
Proficiency of the English language (in writing and verbally) is a must - the second language is a valuable asset
Being able to prioritize, meet deadlines and work with minimal direction
No 9 to 5 mentality
Stress resistant
Advanced computer skills, an expert in Microsoft Office programs and experience with ERP systems
Ability to overview and translate complex business processes and techniques
No traveling restrictions
No military obligation for male candidates
Resident in the Asian part of Istanbul or in neighborhoods with an easy commute to our office
JOB DESCRIPTION
Maintaining contact and conduct price negotiations with prospects, customers and suppliers - create and send quotes with senior trader guidance
Follow up on inquiries and customer handling
Ensures optimal customer satisfaction
Responsible for handling of commercial issues/complaints
Suggesting new trade opportunities and product development
Keeps track of international market developments reports to senior management
Keeps track of the results and suggests corrective action plans when needed
Required to engage in Global travel for supplier and client meetings, trade shows and hosting visits
