GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree from a relevant discipline, preferably Chemistry orChemical Engineering.
• Holder of a valid Class A Occupational Safety Specialist Certificate.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation, regulations, and legal requirements, with the ability to stay up to date with regulatory changes.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety functions within manufacturing companies.
• Proven experience in establishing, implementing, and continuously improving Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and developing OHS teams, subcontractors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong background in driving safety culture initiatives and promoting employee engagement in OHS programs.
• Proficient in risk assessment methodologies and experienced in hazard identification, risk analysis, and risk management processes.
• Strong hands-on experience in OHS field practices and implementation.
• Experienced in planning, monitoring, and reporting OHS performance indicators and management system objectives.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Experienced in calculating and analyzing Lost Time Accident (LTA), Accident Frequency Rate (AFR), and Accident Severity Rate (ASR) metrics.
• Strong planning, organizational, team management, follow-up, and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong presentation and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Flexible and able to work in shifts when required.
• Preferably holds a valid driver's license and actively drives.
• Military service completed for male candidates.
• Residing on the European side of Istanbul.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Establish, maintain, and continuously improve the company’s Occupational Health and Safety Management System in line with legal requirements and corporate standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop the OHS team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring the effective implementation of safety programs and strategic initiatives.
• Develop improvement plans for OHS processes, manage approval workflows, and ensure the timely completion of related action items.
• Ensure continuous readiness for both scheduled and unscheduled internal and external audits.
• Prepare, analyze, and present monthly OHS KPI reports to management.
• Monitor and follow up on near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions.
• Analyze occupational accident and near-miss data and calculate key safety performance indicators, includingLost Time Accident (LTA), Accident Frequency Rate (AFR), and Accident Severity Rate (ASR).
• Analyze audit findings and prepare reports and presentations, regularly communicating results, trends, and recommendations to management.
• Manage corrective action processes arising from audits, incidents, inspections, risk assessments, and identified non-conformities, ensuring timely implementation and effectiveness verification.
• Identify workplace hazards, conduct risk assessments and analyses, develop risk control plans, update risk assessments in response to process or operational changes, and monitor the implementation of corrective actions.
• Plan, implement, and monitor all necessary OHS measures and practices across operational areas.
• Develop safety culture programs and ensure employee participation in OHS activities throughout the organization.
• Organize and deliver OHS training programs in accordance with the annual training plan and report training outcomes.
• Coordinate OHS activities across departments and ensure alignment with corporate objectives and legal compliance requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date OHS records and documentation, prepare regular reports on all OHS activities, and present them to management.
