We are looking for an HSE Specialist to be assigned to our headquarters in Maslak, Istanbul.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk assessments, form risk assessment teams, and provide necessary training.
- Identify hazards, analyze and rank risks, and implement control measures.
- Monitor workplace conditions, conduct inspections, and maintain accurate records.
- Manage non-conformities and ensure corrective/preventive actions are implemented.
- Investigate work accidents, near misses, and occupational diseases; ensure proper reporting to SGK.
- Support emergency and disaster management planning; organize drills and trainings.
- Plan and deliver occupational health and safety trainings, including emergency team trainings.
- Organize OHS committee meetings and prepare annual work and training plans, along with evaluation reports.
- Monitor personal protective equipment, chemicals, machinery inspections, and safety signage.
- Manage subcontractor and supplier OHS compliance.
- Advise management on OHS regulations, workplace safety improvements, and equipment/material safety.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, health & safety or related field
- At least 1 year of relevant professional experience.
- Advanced proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
- Strong collaboration skills with stakeholders at all levels and across cultures
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- High adaptability and creativity in developing effective solutions
- Occupational Safety Specialist Certificate (Class B or C)
- Trainer Training Certificate
- ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System
- ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
- IOSH Managing Safely Training
- NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
