Procurement and Import Specialist

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Business, International Trade or Logistics & SCM

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Previous procurement & import experience of at least 5 years
• Strong knowledge of customs formalities, regulations, documents and incentives
• Well organized, able to manage a busy workload whilst meeting deadlines and work in stressful environment with flexible working hours

Job Scope:   

• Create and issue purchase orders to overseas suppliers and monitor the entire order lifecycle until delivery.
• Coordinate end-to-end import operations by working closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouses and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant deliveries.
• Organize international transportation (ocean, road, and air freight) and manage customs clearance processes in accordance with local regulations and company policies.
• Manage external warehouse operations, monitor inventory levels and ensure stock accuracy and availability.
• Track supplier invoices and payments, resolve invoice discrepancies and coordinate with Finance to ensure timely payments.
• Handle supplier quality claims by coordinating with suppliers on non-conformities, driving corrective actions and following up on root cause analysis and claim resolution.
• Prepare and submit accurate and timely operational, inventory, import, KPI and management reports.
• Negotiations and contract management with logistics partners (logistics companies, warehouse, bounded-warehouses etc. ) to optimize cost structure and identification of new ones if required
• Coordinate and maintain all import-related legal and regulatory documentation, including Investment Incentive Certificates, AEO (Authorized Economic Operator/OKSB) and other customs documentation.
• Closely monitor changes in customs, foreign trade and import regulations. Assess their impact on BERICAP operations, inform relevant departments and coordinate the implementation of required actions to ensure compliance.
