Investment Consultant – Turkey

We are looking for an Investment Consultant to join our team in Istanbul. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying potential investors in Turkey, developing business relationships and supporting companies interested in expanding their activities to Germany.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead investment consulting activities in Turkey and work closely with the local team
• Develop and coordinate an annual strategy for investor acquisition in Turkey
• Monitor and analyze economic developments, market trends and key industries in Turkey to identify companies with potential interest in expanding their business to Germany
• Establish and maintain contact with decision-makers and provide targeted information and advice to potential investors
• Actively approach potential investors at trade fairs, conferences, workshops, webinars and other relevant business events
• Promote Germany as an attractive business and investment location and represent the organization at external events
• Build and continuously expand a strong network in Turkey, working with companies, business associations, public institutions and other relevant stakeholders
• Develop and maintain relationships with economic, political and social decision-makers, companies in relevant target sectors, business associations, institutions and authorities in Turkey and Germany
• Identify and develop potential cooperation and partnership opportunities
• Plan, document and manage investment projects using relevant IT systems, including CRM tools
• Support and independently organize investor acquisition events and activities
• Contribute to the preparation and development of publications, market analyses and other relevant content

Your Profile

You have...

• A completed university degree (Master’s, Diploma or comparable qualification) in economics, business administration, engineering or another relevant field; an MBA is an advantage
• A good understanding of corporate structures and strategic decision-making processes
• Solid experience in market analysis, competitive analysis and strategy development for companies or business sectors
• Good knowledge of Turkey’s economic environment, key industries, economic trends and relevant stakeholders
• A good understanding of Turkey’s political and cultural context and its relevance to German-Turkish economic relations
• Good knowledge of the structures and mechanisms of foreign trade and investment promotion in Germany
• Knowledge and practical experience in project management
• Practical experience in using social media for communication and business development
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Fluent in Turkish and English; German language skills are an advantage
• Strong intercultural competence and willingness to travel internationally
• Strong negotiation and networking skills, as well as the ability to communicate confidently with decision-makers
• A proactive, self-driven, independent and analytical approach to work
• A flexible and open mindset, with the ability to develop creative and pragmatic solutions
• Confident and practical use of AI tools to support research and day-to-day work
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word
• A strong affinity for Turkish business culture and German-Turkish economic relations, supported by relevant long-term experience in Turkey
• Existing contacts with decision-makers in Turkish industrial companies and excellent network-building skills
