WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU AS THE FINANCIAL CONTROLLER?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- At least 7 years of total professional experience (Prior experience with an independent audit firm is an asset.)
- Experience in Audit, IFRS, Controlling, or budgeting and planning/control functions within companies
- Knowledge of accounting and tax regulations
- CPA qualification is preferred
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Advanced command of English
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications
- Experience with Oracle is an asset
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Financial Control;
- Ensure the overall accuracy and integrity of financial information, including management reports, P&L accounts, financial statements, costs, pricing, expenses, and revenues, in accordance with financial control procedures, local GAAP, and IFRS.
- Periodically oversee the accounting operations, all cost items generated by other departments, and the review of the company’s financial statements.
- Develop and enhance existing processes, systems and reports for the monitoring, control, and analysis of month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Support the Budget and Reporting team in all aspects of periodic reporting and budget planning, and participate in the annual independent audit process when required.
Revenue Assurance
- Ensure alignment between pricing, invoicing, and revenue recognition processes, and coordinate with relevant departments to establish or correct related process and system setups.
- Monitor the end-to-end revenue cycle to identify, quantify, and mitigate revenue leakage risks.
- Perform reconciliations between commercial systems, billing platforms, and financial records to ensure the completeness and accuracy of revenue.
- Review new products, campaigns, and commercial models from a revenue assurance perspective and recommend necessary controls before implementation.
- Prepare periodic analyses and management reports on revenue risks, billing issues, control gaps, and corrective actions.
