Accounting Specialist

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field,
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting and finance,
• Strong knowledge of Turkish tax regulations (VAT, withholding tax, corporate tax),
• Good understanding of month-end closing, reconciliations, financial reporting processes and IFRS,
• Knowledge of internal audit and compliance requirements,
• Experience with multinational companies, SAP and working with Shared Service Centers (SSC / CoS),
• Strong accounting, finance and tax background with solid analytical thinking and advanced Excel skills,
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

 JOB DESCRIPTION

• Prepare, manage and control tax processes including VAT, withholding tax, corporate tax declarations and tax offsets,
• Handle e-invoice, e-ledger and e-dispatch processes; ensure compliance with statutory requirements and coordinate communication with sworn-in CPA, tax advisors and public authorities,
• Coordinate and monitor daily activities and performance of CoS AP, AR and General Ledger teams; support local finance team in accounting and operational finance activities,
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly closing, including reconciliations, FX valuations, accruals, account reviews and corrective actions related to trial balance and account balances,
• Act as a key contact point with Group Finance on financial reporting, data quality and process improvement topics,
• Plan, coordinate and closely follow independent audit, IFRS audit and tax audit processes,
• Oversee AP/AR open items, customer/vendor reconciliations, collection/payment follow-up, bank, cash and payment processes, including monthly bank reconciliations,
• Ensure accurate accounting of fixed assets, import/export transactions and compliance reporting; support SOX/GRC processes.
